When the button on the coffee maker starts blinking, it indicates that descaling and cleaning are needed. Please read the product manual for instructions.
Descale the coffee maker as follows:
Step 1. For descaling, we usually recommend brewing with vinegar and water. To reset the coffee maker, hold down the button for 10 seconds.
If the brewing does not start, it may be due to too much limescale in the water tank, in which case you need to clean it first as described below.
Step 2. Pour warm water (approx. 800 ml) and some vinegar (approx. 100 ml) into the water tank and let it sit for a while. This helps loosen limescale and other deposits. Then empty the coffee maker by turning it upside down over the sink.
After this, you can try descaling again according to Step 1. Brewing should now start so you can complete the descaling process.
Then, run one cycle with clean water (1 L) without coffee to make sure everything is clean and there is no vinegar taste left when you brew coffee again.
Wash all removable parts and wipe the water tank if needed.
